Cam Newton, Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr are all easy picks but who else shone brightly this season in the NFL and went under the radar? Its that time of the year when we look back on the season that was, Denver and their defence won Super Bowl 50, while as expected Cam Newton took the MVP award at the NFL Honours show in San Francisco on the eve of the big game. But there was plenty to remember from the rest of the season, so we asked Super Bowl XXXIV winner Torry Holt for his take the players who performed when their team needed it most. The former St Louis Rams wide receiver came up with six that caught his eye and weve added some of their season highlights. Ode to Beast Mode Looking back at the career of Marshawn Lynch JULIO JONES (WR) Atlanta FalconsYou can pull up any Julio Jones clip - they are fascinating. He is fast, big, can catch, can run, can block. He does it all at the wide receiver position. He is someone that sticks out to me. RUSSELL WILSON (QB) Seattle SeahawksRussell had a phenomenal year. With Marshawn Lynch being in and out of the line-up, they had to rely on Russell Wilsons legs and his arm.He threw for more than 4000 yards, 34 touchdowns - he had a great year, particularly the second half of the season when he and Doug Baldwin got on a real hot streak. Here are some of Julio Jones season highlights. Geno Atkins showed hes one of the stars of the Cincinatti Bengals side throughout the season. Video courtesy of the NFL GENO ATKINS (DT) Cincinnati Bengals He was very dominant up front for the Bengals defensive line. Take a look at some of Russell Wilsons best moments. Video courtesy of the NFL JOSH NORMAN (CB) Carolina Panthers For the Panthers, Greg Olsen, Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis were all impressive but Josh Norman, at the corner position - he had a great year. Aaron Donald stood out for St Louis Rams. Video courtesy of the NFL LARRY FITZGERALD (WR) Arizona CardinalsI credit Larry because he went from being the outside receiver to now playing in the slot and handling a lot of the blocking duties. He had a really good year and a really good post season and he continued his post-season streak of consecutive catches and receiving yards (Fitzgerald remains the only player to average a touchdown catch and 100+ receiving yards per post-season game). Josh Norman made his mark this season with several stunning displays. We seem to be on the same page.Nick Cousins and Michael Raffl had Philadelphias goals, and Steve Mason finished with 24 saves. But obviously, were very disappointed with the loss.Turris tied the score on a wraparound with 1:59 left in regulation as he swung around the right side of the net and beat Mason to the other side, stuffing the puck into the unguarded left side for his team-leading eight of the season.I wanted to try and fake like I was going to bring it to the middle and get everyone to bite on it, so it would open up space for me on the far side, said Turris, who had 133 goals in 57 games last season.dddddddddddd It opened up a lot of space. In the closing minute of overtime, Karlsson and Turris passed the puck back and forth until both ran out of room on Mason.Apparently, we didnt get a shot, Boucher said.
