Oregon has hired away Colorados Jim Leavitt and will make him the highest-paid defensive coordinator in the Pac-12, a source told ESPNs Brett McMurphy on Wednesday. The move was first reported by Fox Sports.Leavitt, who has spent the past two seasons turning the Buffs defense around, will sign a four-year deal with the Ducks. This season, Colorado has climbed to No. 8 in the national rankings, allowing only 4.7 yards per play.
