Calgary Flames prospect Sam Bennett will undergo shoulder surgery next week and is expected to miss four to six months, the club announced on Thursday. Bennett suffered the injury during the Flames pre-season, but has also battled through shoulder issues much of last season with the Ontario Hockey Leagues Kingston Frontenacs. The Flames drafted Bennett fourth overall in this years NHL draft, making him the highest selection in franchise history.
