ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Wild forward Zach Parise has been scratched from Minnesotas game against the Colorado Avalanche because of an illness.Parise had just returned to the lineup for two games after missing six with a lower-body injury. In his place, Minnesota dressed seven defensemen. In 10 games this season, Parise has two goals and four assists.Colorado was without forwards Matt Duchene (concussion) and Gabriel Landeskog (lower body) on Saturday night. Duchene missed his fourth straight game, while Landeskog has sat out the past two. Gus Johnson Jersey . Now, correct me if Im wrong but I saw one official distinctly pointing at the net indicating a good goal but after an inconclusive review they overturned the goal. Shouldnt the ruling on the ice (good goal) stand after an inconclusive review? Why was this overturned? James Veaudry Pembroke, ON -- Hey Kerry, Youll get a lot of these, but why was the Montreal goal against Nashville Saturday night overturned? Eller puts the puck on net and the on ice ruling from the ref behind the net is a Montreal goal. Bobby Leonard Jersey . LOUIS -- Mike Smith is used to facing plenty of shots, so this was nothing new. https://www.cheappacers.com/133k-austin-croshere-jersey-pacers.html . -- Jimmy Walkers first PGA Tour trophy came with a special gift tucked inside. Clemon Johnson Jersey . Takahashi, who had a 10-point lead after the short program, received 268.31 points after the free skate to finish 15 points ahead of second-place Nobunari Oda. Billy Knight Jersey . With Parker having a quiet game for once, Nicolas Batum and Boris Diaw provided the scoring as France won its first major basketball title by beating Lithuania 80-66 on Sunday. It was a victory that ended a decade of frustration for Parker and a talented French generation, which lost the final against Spain two years ago and took bronze in 2005. Simple mistakes are finals killersYou just cannot make mistakes in big games. We had the best four sides playing at the weekend and the teams that made mistakes paid the price. For the Cowboys, Lachlan Coote and Justin ONeill both dropped the ball, and then unfortunately for the Raiders, Edrick Lee came up with a couple of howlers. You cant be making those kind of mistakes in big games, because it can prove a massive momentum changer and next thing you know you havent touched the ball for five minutes.Chad finds form to free up MaloneyIt was great to see Chad Townsend come out and have such a great game after he was hooked in Canberra two weeks ago.He was under a lot of pressure on Friday night taking on the games best player in Jonathan Thurston, but the Sharks No.7 came up with some big plays and kicks early on that set the tone for their victory. And certainly his combination with Luke Lewis is very important -- they can sniff out a try.But the big thing was the follow-on effect it had on James Maloney. With Townsend in control of his game, Maloney was able to focus on his role and he produced one of the best individual finals performances in recent memory. It was nice to see the Sharks halves working together so well and playing some quality footy.Speedy Sharks can slay StormThe pace the Sharks played with on Friday night was outstanding. Fresh from a two-week break, the Sharks just had too much thrust through the middle for the Cowboys - a fact that was only amplified by the Cowboys mistakes. The Sharks are an athletic football team; they have some exceptional outside backs and plenty of x-factor in guys like Valentine Holmes, Jack Bird and Ben Barba. If the Sharks can repeat that type of performance from Friday night they will be the NRL premiers for 2016. I thought the scoreline flattered the Cowboys and wasnt a true reflection of just how well the Sharks played.Raiders left to rue Wighton sin-binningThe Raiders can hold their heads high; they showed some great resilience in overcoming some injuries in the last fortnight.ddddddddddddAs for BJ Leilua, he must be in serious consideration for the Four Nations - some of the things he did on Saturday night were just unbelievable. But what killed the Raiders were some injuries, they had to move some players around, and then obviously Jack Wightons sin-binning.Immediately after the Raiders fullback was sent to the sidelines for 10 minutes, the Storm scored through centre Cheyse Blair. Im not sure whether Wighton really needed to hold on as long as he did in the tackle; it was a great tackle but I thought the Raiders players were back onside. It was a risky play and one that certainly backfired on the Raiders.Milestone spurs Cronk to massive gameWhat a performance it was from Cooper Cronk on his 300th game. He just loves big games and he was the Storms best player on the park. He has done it for Queensland for years, so there probably wasnt too much doubt he would stand up and deliver when another trip to the grand final was on the line.Cronk has just become a wonderful player for the Storm after arriving at the club as a rugby union product. He has since gone on to play 300 games and just his ability to handle pressure and deliver repeatedly on the big stage is unbelievable.Storms execution key against SharksThe Storm are the most clinical side in the competition. They just dont make mistakes; they wear you out and do all the little things so well.Theyre also happy to give penalties away because theyre trying to slow down the ruck. And theyre so good at identifying a weakness in the opposition defence - something they did against Canberra on Saturday night. But their biggest strength is the ability to execute a game plan and remain disciplined in sticking to it no matter the state of the match. Its why they find themselves in yet another grand final. ' ' '
