That is doubly true given that the Bills dont have any other skill position that New England needs to be concerned with. Add the fact that Gillislee is listed as questionable and Asiata is listed as fully healthy and facing a favorable matchup against the Chicago defense, and it makes Asiata the selection. -- KC@ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPN Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady?- Conor Torres (@Conor_Torres) October 30, 2016The short-passing game worked for Rodgers and the Packers last week, and it can work for the foreseeable future. That said, the Packers vertical passing game has been abysmal this season, and they may not have Randall Cobb, who is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury. Bradys vertical passing numbers are better, and hes every bit as accomplished on short passes, so Brady is the pick here. -- KC@ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPN Matt Ryan or Drew Brees?- Pron3Halo (@Pron3halo) October 30, 2016There is reason to be concerned about Brees facing the Seahawks defense, but dont forget that Seattle has allowed 335 or more passing yards in each of the past two weeks and gave up three touchdown passes against the Falcons at home in Week 6. That puts Brees among my top five fantasy quarterbacks this week, but the matchup against a banged-up and talent-challenged Packers secondary that will be playing multiple backup cornerbacks makes Ryan one of the few passers to rate ahead of Brees this week. -- KC#StartSitESPN Lamar Miller or Blount, standard league- Camden Olivero (@CamdenOlivero) October 30, 2016Blount rates ahead of Miller by more than 2 yards in my good blocking yards per attempt metric that gauges how productive a back is when given quality run blocking (7.3 for Miller, 9.5 for Blount). The Patriots offense is also much more powerful than Houstons offense and thus will likely give Blount more scoring opportunities. This combination makes Blount the pick in this one. -- KCGolden Tate or DeVante Adams #StartSitESPN- DRE (@andrem00re) October 30, 2016The aforementioned story about the Packers passing game notes that Adams is the only Green Bay wide receiver to post a double-digit yards-per-attempt total on vertical passes this season. Tate has improved very much of late, but hes also facing a Houston defense that has allowed the third-fewest points per game to opponents wide receivers (16.0). Combine that with Adams facing a favorable matchup against an Atlanta secondary that just allowed its season high in yards to opposing wide receivers last week (264 versus San Diego) and it makes Adams the selection. -- KCMathew Stafford or Russell Wilson#StartSitESPN- Angel Camacho Jr (@A_CamachoJr) October 30, 2016Wilson has the highest matchup points total in my schedule scoring system that grades matchups on a 0-100 scale, with 100 being the most favorable. His 93 mark in this category is much higher than Staffords 33, a total that ranks tied for fifth lowest. Add the possibility that the Seattle-New Orleans game turns into a shootout (Seattle has allowed 300 or more passing yards in each of the past two games) and it makes Wilson the selection. -- KCChristine Michael OR Spencer Ware? Can only start one... #StartSitESPN #FirstPlaceProblems- James Plumlee (@Das_Plum) October 30, 2016Talk about a good quandary to have. Both Ware and Michael rate among the top four among starting running backs in my 0-100 matchup points scale (with 100 being the best). The Saints defense is so bad that Michael actually ends up only two points away from a perfect score, while Ware is at 85. Ware also has a greater chance of having playing time taken away by Charcandrick West. Put it all together, and Michael is the better of these two highly favorable options. -- KCGreg Olsen or Jimmy Graham? #startsitESPN- Jeremy Stewart (@Stewbug82) October 30, 2016This is a very tough call, as Olsen and Graham rate among the top three in my tight end rankings this week. Olsen has a track record of seeing more targets, both short and vertical, than Graham. That gives him higher overall and downside scores than Graham. Given that they rank nearly even in my upside score category, it gives Graham a clean sweep and makes him the selection. -- KC#StartSitESPN Kelvin Benjamin or Michael Thomas?- Jeremy Stewart (@Stewbug82) October 30, 2016Benjamin is likely to see a lot of Patrick Peterson in coverage. As tough as Seattles secondary is, the Seahawks have allowed 300 or more passing yards in each of the past two weeks. That gives Thomas more upside potential in what could be a shootout game in New Orleans and thus makes him the selection here. -- KC@ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPN Gates, Henry, or Fiedorowicz?- Laura Knoll (@LauraKnoll14) October 30, 2016With the steadiest target share of this trio and with Antonio Gates and Hunter Henry fighting for the same targets and routes against a stingy Denver secondary, lets go with C.J. Fiedorowicz. The Texans top tight end faces a Lions defense that has allowed the most touchdowns to tight ends since the start of last season and the third-most fantasy points per game to the position in ESPN leagues this season. -- J.M#StartSitESPN Dez Bryant coming off a knee injury or Stefon Diggs dealing with a groin injury? Whos my flex?- Go team go! (@HauntingODU) October 30, 2016This is a scenario where Bryant wins out. Even if his rapport with Dak Prescott wasnt so strong early this season, Bryant is an elite red zone weapon, given his touchdown rate over the years, and the Eagles outside corners have proved susceptible this season. Its also about the nature of the respective offenses, as the Cowboys lead the league in points per drive, while the Vikings are in the bottom third of the league. -- J.MAlex smith John McCown or Carson Palmer #StartSitESPN- Dave White (@davedwane) October 30, 2016With the Jets blitzing so much last week (around 47 percent of dropbacks against the Ravens), Im fading Josh McCown outside of deeper leagues. With Carson Palmer struggling this season and on the road against a rested Carolina defense, Id prefer to send out the safe and steady Alex Smith. The Chiefs are in a game with a high implied point total against an exploitable Colts defense, while Smiths rushing production helps drive a high fantasy floor. -- J.MPick two please! Pryor, Snead, or Meredith? #startsitespn- Keznyc Walton (@KezzyKez24) October 30, 2016Terrelle Pryor Sr.s usage rate (more than a quarter of the Browns target share) and matchup against a soft Jets secondary proves inviting. As for Willie Snead, hes still among the top three targets of Drew Brees at home, which helps support a high ceiling, despite?a low floor against the Seahawks. That said, Id use these two veterans over Cameron Meredith, as his target share and rapport with Jay Cutler is a bit murky heading into Monday night. -- J.MLamar Miller or Jonathan Stewart #StartSitESPN- Brandyn Hansen (@branhantc) October 30, 2016Each week, one or two major injury scenarios dominate our feed for these questions. This week, its clearly Houstons Miller and his inscrutable usage for today vexing fantasy managers. The NFL Network reports there are real concerns over how long Miller will last today with his significant shoulder ailment, thus its truly a risky venture. Id prefer to use Stewart, even as hes the lesser fantasy commodity, given Millers troubling workload risks. -- J.MBetter Flex: Theo Riddick, Golden Tate, or Quincy Enunwa? #StartSitESPN- John Doe (@JebronLames2323) October 30, 2016With ?Tate reclaiming a strong target share for a team prone to proving pass-heavy, lets side with him and his recent reception revival. -- J.M#StartSitESPN Isaiah Crowell vs. Jacquizz Rodgers- Dalton Speer (@DSP33R) October 30, 2016Gotta go with Jacquizz Rodgers in this case; he has netted 31 touches per game in the feature role, second only to David Johnson of the Cards since the start of Week 5. The Browns Isaiah Crowell is in a tougher setup against a Jets defense that has still proved solid against the rush. -- J.MEdelman, M Thomas for flex #StartSitESPN- Patrick (@bigprm23) October 30, 2016With Michael Thomas earning the majority of his snaps on the outside, Im fading him a bit with the potential for matchups against the Seahawks top outside corners. This means Julian Edelman gets the nod. Edelman has led the Pats in targets since Bradys return and is due a positive correction in catch rate and even touchdown production. -- J.M@ESPNFantasy B. Marshall or D. Thomas in my WR position? #StartSitESPN- Ashley Kotik (@AshKotik1111) October 30, 2016As you can see in the answers above, Im a fan of Thomas today, but Brandon Marshall is the clear choice here. Marshall has consumed 28 percent of the Jets targets since Eric Decker was sidelined in Week 3 and is tied for the league lead with Denvers Emmanuel Sanders with 12 red zone targets on the season. -- J.M@ESPNFantasy Devontae Booker or Melvin Gordon #StartSitESPN- Tomohh (@xTomohh) October 30, 2016This might read as fickle since Gordon leads the NFL in touchdowns, but I prefer Booker and the similarly heavy workload we expect for the gifted rookie rusher. -- J.M@MatthewBerryTMR Cole Beasley or Donte Moncrief? #StartSitESPN- Megan (@MeganwithoutaH) October 30, 2016Lets go with Donte Moncrief and his higher ceiling, if lower floor, over Beasley. -- J.M#StartSitESPN Pick two: Latavius Murray, Christine Michael, Ty Montgomery- Nick Cyr (@OctobaFeeva) October 30, 2016I would sit Latavius Murray of this trio. Oaklands staff is talking up Murray taking a dominant share of touches, but we also heard that throughout the offseason. Even if Murray is due a heavy workload, his inefficient results last season signal we can take the risk on Montgomerys impressive receiving role and the upside he offers with Cobb ruled out. Michael, meanwhile, is a must-start asset against this soft Saints defense. -- J.M.Michael Thomas or Chris Hogan? #StartSitESPN- Steve Caruso (@Carusosteve) October 30, 2016Even with the tough matchup, Im siding with Thomas, as he has earned a sizable share of the targets for the Saints over the past month and has some touchdown upside as a key red zone weapon for Brees. Hogan has the narrative angle against his former club, but his real upside is as the vertical target for the Patriots. Even with that role, the rookies stronger overall usage pattern wins out. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPN Flex Asiata, Adams or Jordan Matthews?- Jason Davis (@jdavis4201) October 30, 2016With Asiata a real candidate for 20 touches and with upside for touchdown opportunities, hes the call among this trio of quality flex candidates. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPN quincy enunwa or stefon diggs- Chris Zimmerman (@ChunksMcGoo) October 30, 2016Quincy Enunwas market share and efficiency have dwindled over recent weeks, while Diggs is well set up to shine as the top target on the Vikings against a beatable Bears secondary. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy Blount or Asiata? #StartSitESPN- Elliot Ostercamp (@ostercamp01) October 30, 2016With Jerick McKinnon ruled out, I have vaulted Matt Asiata ahead of LeGarrette Blount. This is likely a bit bold, but the premise is hell consolidate work in the passing and receiving phases and has a fairly high total yardage floor. The other factor is some risk in usage with Blount, given the Pats penchant to prove pass-heavy (84 percent pass rate in Week 2 last season in Buffalo) against top pass rushes -- and Buffalo ranks second in pressure rate. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy James White or Devontae Booker in a PPR league?? #StartSitESPN- Chris Marusich (@Mckuskie814) October 30, 2016Even as I dig James Whites PPR floor, given the aforementioned pass-rate precedent for the Pats, Booker is a nearly elite option. The Chargers have ceded the seventh-most fantasy points per game to backs, while Booker consolidates touches for the Broncos -- who rank first in run blocking on Pro Football Focus this season. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy Ryan Matthews or Jeremy Maclin for Flex. Standard Scoring. #StartSitESPN- Howard Wright (@wrightfitness22) October 30, 2016Siding with Maclin -- he still has a 22 percent share of the teams targets so far and could be busy on the road in a game with some potential for a shootout, given such a lofty point total hovering around 50 points, per the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy @ESPNFantasy Help!! Brandin cooks, Will fuller, or Donte moncrief at wideout? #StartSitESPN- Adrian Carrillo (@MexiDipNChips) October 30, 2016Lets stick with Brandin Cooks. Its nice to see Donte Moncrief back in the fold, but Cooks target share and big-play upside for the Saints is still valuable. The Seahawks are a tough matchup, sure, but we should also consider Cooks works often from the slot and thus can get free releases away from their stingy outside corners. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy start Lamar Miller or sit him out because of his shoulder injury? #StartSitESPN- Will Peterson (@Will_Peterson21) October 30, 2016Reports suggest Miller should play but will potentially be limited in regard to snaps and touches against the Lions. Id treat Miller like a risk/reward flex option, given this information, and seek out higher-floor options on the bench and in free agency. -- J.M.Quincy Enunwa or Davante Adams at flex #StartSitESPN- King Gilgamesh The 2 (@NxtStopNewport) October 30, 2016Lets stick with Adams -- Rodgers has averaged more than 47 attempts the past three games and could again be forced to pass a ton in a potential shootout with the leagues top offense. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy if Cobb out, start DThomas or Marvin Jones? #StartSitESPN- Coach Buckets (@bucketscoach1) October 30, 2016Per ESPNs Adam Schefter, Randall Cobb will sit with his hamstring ailment. Given this, Id deploy Demaryius Thomas over Marvin Jones. Its a close decision, but favoring Thomas matchup against a depleted San Diego secondary. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN RB Gillislee or RB M Gordon standard league. Thanks!!- Chris Giraldi (@Chris_Giraldi) October 30, 2016Even with the Denver Broncos sound rush defense, Id start Melvin Gordon, given his awesome usage rate and goal-line role. Mike Gillislee didnt dominate valuable touches with LeSean McCoy ailing last week, as Reggie Bush also factored in. Gordon also has enough usage in the passing phase to deliver sound scrimmage results. -- J.M.QB start: Ryan or Luck? #StartSitESPN- Blerd in Red Country (@DShakota) October 30, 2016With Matt Ryan as my top quarterback this week, he edges out Andrew Luck. I truly like both today, but Ryans setup at home against a depleted Green Bay secondary gives him the edge. -- J.M.#StartSitESPN Dez Bryant or D. Thomas?- Daniel Medlin (@MedlinKid13) October 30, 2016Once again, I have Thomas rated with a higher floor for fantasy production, given the nice setup against the Chargers depleted secondary and his high-percentage rapport with his quarterback. I have Dez Bryant ranked as a solid WR2, but Thomas is merely ahead of him given more cost certainty. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy #StartSitESPN start Brady vs Bills or Rodgers vs Falcons?- Barbara (@bmer_grl) October 30, 2016With Tom Brady averaging more than 10 yards per attempt -- which is just silly -- Ill side with his elite efficiency over Aaron Rodgers and his significantly less-efficient offense. Youve probably heard this already this season, but pursuing a trade to get skill talent back for one of these arms would be wise, especially once the Pats get past their bye. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy Gillislee or J Stew in PPR? #StartSitESPN- James Graham (@j_graham17) October 30, 2016Jonathan Stewart rates ahead of Gillislee for me; he should see a nice workload and the Cardinals struggles against running quarterbacks (they have allowed the most rushing yards/game to QBs over the past two seasons) could open up lanes. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy Should I bench Lamar Miller? Would it be better to start Blue, Sanu, or J. Brown in his place? #StartSitESPN- Meghan Bitter (@NaniHaoleGurl) October 30, 2016This is an understandably popular topic, thanks to Millers injury and questionable usage for today. In this case, with reports suggesting Miller wont consume a full workload, lets go with John Brown, who is expected to play and has real upside against a young Carolina secondary. Its clearly the call of Millers investors, but Im going conservative with him today, based on reports. -- J.M.Zach miller or martellus Bennett standard @NFLfantasy @georgegfantasy @MatthewBerryTMR @FieldYates #StartSitESPN- Tessarose (@mztubbyrose) October 30, 2016Martellus Bennett is expected to play, per Schefter, and thus is the preferred play to me over Zach Miller. With the Pats running the most two-TE sets in the league since Brady returned, Bennetts floor and ceiling are arguably higher than Millers. -- J.M.@ESPNFantasy Ty Montgomery or Golden Rate as a FLEX? #StartSitESPN- Geoff Hahn (@Snr_iIrelevant) October 30, 2016Lets ride with Montys unique workload, especially with Cobb sidelined. The Texans secondary has been sound against opposing wideouts, which also tips the scales over Golden Tate in this comparison. -- J.M. MLB Jerseys Outlet .
